Terms & Conditions

Prerequisites: Most tours are designed with novices in mind, and some inexperienced paddlers can be accommodated on any of the trips. All we ask is good health and fitness, and a keen interest in exploring.

Liability: Clients participate at their own risk will be asked to sign a liability waiver prior to departure.

Routes: Sea Sun may change advertised routes without notice due to weather and sea conditions.

Inclusions: On guided trips all kayaking equipment, cooking gear and food is supplied, unless otherwise stated. We use both single and double kayaks depending upon the difficulty of the trip and the experience of the participants.

Exclusions: Participants need to provide (or can rent from us) tents, sleeping bags and sleep pads, and bring along their own personal items. A detailed checklist will be provided upon registration, or, can be printed off our website.

Online Bookings Policy: All tours, rentals and courses that are under $125.00 per person must be paid in full to book online. All tours, rentals and courses that are over $125.00, require a $100 deposit per person to book online. Online bookings will require a credit card.

Phone Bookings Policy: All tours, rentals and courses will require a credit card number to book.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: Sea Sun will refund 100% of any monies that have been pre-paid, and/or will not charge the credit card on file,  if the following required notice of cancellation are given:

• At least 48 hours notice of cancellation for rentals and tours that take place within a single day
• At least 1 week's notice of cancellation for ALL courses (including single day and multi-day courses) and kayak rentals and tours that span more than one day (i.e. overnight tours and rentals)

If the above cancellation notices are not adhered to, but notice of cancellation is still given, Sea Sun will refund 75% of the total costs or charge the credit card/s on file 25% of the total cost.

If cancellation notice is received on the same day or less than 24 hours before a tour, course or rental is scheduled to begin OR if all/any participants do no show up on the day of the booking, then no refunds will be given on pre-paid bookings and/or the credit card/s on file will be charged for the full amount of the booking.

Sea Sun may cancel a booking due to high winds, heavy rain or other conditions that may deem the tour unsafe. In this case, those who have booked will have the option to either receive a full refund or to re-book.

Sea Sun does not give refunds on gift certificates. In addition, once a booking is made using a gift certificate, the same cancellation rules will apply as for regular bookings.

Sea Sun Kayak may at any time and without advance notice revise services and pricing as shown on www.paddlenovascotia.com. Content found throughout this website may not be used in any format without written permission of Sea Sun Kayak.
